Philips Search & Rescue Trust is the charity responsible for six rescue helicopters in the Central North Island, covering the Waikato-King Country, Bay of Plenty, Rotorua, Taupo-Central Plateau, and Manawatu-Whanganui regions.
Available through the emergency 111-call system, these rapid response rescue helicopters bring life-saving equipment, rescue personnel and trauma-trained medics directly to the patient.
Greenlea is proud to be the principal sponsor of the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter, based at Taupo Airport.
The Greenlea Rescue Helicopter has touched the lives of thousands of patients, providing a 24-hour emergency service, 365 days a year.
With 40% of rescues occurring in the rural community, Greenlea sees our sponsorship as a way of giving back to the farmers that support us each and every day.
Greenlea has also made possible the Flight for Life programme. You can help your local rescue helicopter by turning livestock into life stock. Livestock suppliers can nominate proceeds from a specific number of cattle to be donated to their local rescue helicopter.
