Beef Processing

Our two processing plants are located in the heart of New Zealand’s Waikato region, an area renowned for its pastoral industries. Both our Morrinsville and Hamilton based plants are of similar size and capacity and process 80,000 cattle per year. The balance of processing is approximately 40% manufacturing cow, 35% manufacturing bull and 25% prime steer. This represents 10% of all cattle processed in the North Island and 8% of the New Zealand total.

We offer flexible processing systems from both our facilities, catering to customer requirements at the highest standards of efficiency and service. Premium quality table cuts are processed from prime steer, which are processed on the cooling curve to optimise meat tenderness and aged in our chillers prior to despatch. Presentation of our chilled cuts is extremely important, so we ensure careful attention to detail during packing to give consistency of product quality.
